Ben Murnane’s childhood growing up with a very rare disease gave him an interest in radical ideas – for extending life and changing society. After writing about life-limiting illness in his memoir Two in a Million, he explored how futurism and libertarianism collide in Ayn Rand and the Posthuman, before telling the story of America’s “cyborg” presidential candidate in his latest book, Transhuman Citizen: Zoltan Istvan’s Hunt for Immortality.
Ben has authored five books so far, as well as co-creating an award-winning short film project, and obtaining a PhD from Trinity College Dublin. He has written for multiple newspapers and academic journals.
A former editorial director of a multimillion-dollar publisher, today he helps bring unique coverage of the world economy to readers, as managing editor of Jeff D. Opdyke’s Global Intelligence.
